Kumar, the reigning superstar of the Gujarati film industry for last two decades, is all set to hit the marquee once again with PremRang on Friday, 26 February. He will be seen playing his immensely popular character Ramlo in the ambitious film. Besides, for the first time, he has donned the hat of creative captain in this Rafik Pathan directed mega venture.

PremRang is an intriguing love triangle set in a Gujarat town. The film is about a young man whose heart beats for his mother. So far as love is concerned, his sublime spirit is far away from usual love and affection. Yet, destiny plays its part and Ramlo, the character Hiten Kumar immortalized with unforgettable movies like Desh Re Joya Dada Pardesh Joya, among others, soon comes across Jamni and Janaki, played by Chandni Chopra and Pari, respectively. From there begins an interesting journey of three people, and also several others characters associated with them.

Made under the banner of Playing Drama Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., PremRang was extensively shot for two months at different locations of Gujarat. The film has 8 hummable songs composed by internationally acclaimed music directors’ duo Samir-Mana, who also happen to be a real-life couple.

Unlike current Gujarati films which are targeting urban viewers only and completely ignoring viewers of small centers, PremRang is a film that promises to have a great entertainment quotient for both kinds of viewers. So, it will be released in single screens as well as multiplexes and reach out to all Gujaratis.

The film also stars veterans like Rupa Divetiya, Bharat Thakkar, Devendra Pandit along with many other actors, some of whom are making their cinematic debut with PremRang.

Speaking about the film, Hiten Kumar says, “I have been always fortunate as an actor as viewers across Gujarat have always showered their love on my films. I have done conventional as well as offbeat films, a genre which is called as urban movie in the Gujarati film industry. I believe that a great film cannot be categorized as an urban or a rural one. When it entertains one and all, it becomes a perfect movie. PremRang, I can safely say, is such a kind of film.”
